EchoLink®

TDXS now has Echolink® on our 442.000 repeater!  EchoLink® software allows licensed Amateur Radio stations to communicate over the Internet, using voice-over-IP (VoIP) technology.  The program allows worldwide connections be be made between stations, or from computer to station, greatly enhancing Amateur Radio's communication capabilities.  There are more than 200,000 validated users worldwide - in 162 of the world's 193 nations, with about 4,000 online at any given time.

If there are any misplaced TDXS members out there who would like to phone home, you must first download the free EchoLink® software at:  www.echolink.org and follow the installation and validation procedures.  Each new user of EchoLink® must provide proof of license before access is granted.  Once you have submitted your license for validation, and have received the e-mail confirmation of verification from EchoLink, you can start using the software.  On the list of connected stations, search for K5DX-R (node # 474461) and connect.  Visitors and friends of TDXS are welcome to stop by and say "howdy"!   Be sure to properly identify your station when connecting and disconnecting.
